John is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, husband, father of six children, and has a deep love for our country and community.
Born in Mt Clemens, raised just minutes from Lake St. Clair, and residing in New Baltimore, John knows and understands the people that make up our district, and the challenges that we face.
Fed up with the soaring cost of living that is crushing families, and the radical left's agenda for our country, John felt a deep sense of duty to stand up and do something about it!
John understands how high costs are hurting struggling families. And he's tired of politicians who might talk a good game but only make things worse and make life more expensive for the people they're supposed to represent.
John is running because we're all tired of politicians who put themselves first. John is running to put you first, and to make a real difference for you!
BACKGROUND
Born to two patriotic, middle-class parents, John grew up in a hard-working, blue-collar household His dad, uncles, and grandpa were all lifelong union construction workers who taught him to have faith in God, fight for your country, and never give up! A distant cousin of Barry Goldwater, John was drawn to Barry's conservative, freedom-loving mindset from an early age.
John earned degrees in Business Management and Economics from Northwood University, where he also played football and ran track. Through the years he has put those skills to good use, achieving success in a variety of business endeavors in the beverage and energy industries. As an experienced dealmaker, John has spent his career bringing all sorts of people to the table, leaving together with a win - without compromising his core values.
John has also been involved in various Christian ministries, both at home and abroad. His faith inspires him to look out for the best interests of those around him, regardless of their own beliefs or backgrounds. John's listen-first approach and his ability to answer real concerns makes him uniquely qualified to be our voice in the state senate.

MY MOTIVATION
"I am deeply concerned for the direction of our great state. I worry about what kind of future we're leaving my children, your children, and generations to come. I believe that it's only going to get worse if we don't change course now. Our state is at a crossroads, and it will either become darker or lighter depending on the road we choose. Running to be your next state senator is not some novelty project to me, or another notch in my belt. I'm not a politician. I haven't spent my life in politics, so I don't need a taxpayer-funded job, a fancy title, or to see my name on TV. What I need is to help create a better future for your children and mine! I promise to fight for a brighter future for every man, woman, and child in this state. I believe that together, we can turn our state around.
